@pathunstrom I put off the question by switching to "not paying for JetBrains and sticking with the last version I have a perpetual license for".
Not sure how long that's gonna fly, but at least it buys some time :-/

@tom absolutely a reasonable response. I was actually using the 2024 instance on my machine recently by accident, and frankly, except for the heuristics about identifying what version a virtual environment is, it's a much nicer experience.
