@tunafishtiger I am a data touching weirdo, yeah. I pointed out privately that ultimately, the big benefit of datagrip is exploration for me. Being able to call up table views and poke at them to get a sense of the thing.
But I can also do that with table descriptions in the database shell. The IDE just means I don't have to remember the invocation for the particular database engine to spot check things.

@pathunstrom For whatever it's worth, if you're able to live with a second app, Table Plus has native cross platform support (even iOS/iPad OS) and is affordable. All the other SQL GUIs I'm aware of besides DataGrip are either platform locked, Postgres-only, or dbeaver.
