hiya @_philedmonds_ , tuned into a station a while back which I think you still do some engineering for (allfm) and noticed that the sound was quite aliased / grainy on the web stream. Still the case when I tuned in today - most obvious on quieter passages with lots of low frequency content or quiet/dry vocals (e.g. start of a Yes tune and on pres chat). It reminded me of an old SRC bug in Windows (there was a hotfix specifically for <2008 machines) which affected some of our own Livewire stuff when we were setting up playout servers a few years ago. Or perhaps it's a weird quirk of the encoding chain. You aware?

@_philedmonds_ a bit trickier to see than to hear, but here's spectra for the stream (first) and local play of the same track (Roundabout by Yes). Notice higher overall level of noise and some constant distortion/harmonics, compared to a local copy of the same track. Not the audio track itself, seems to be across the whole stream. Hope this helps!
