@hyde I usually pick between straight HTML, Markdown, or an SSG depending on the depth of the project I'm taking notes on. I haven't been in school since learning Vim, but I've seen blog posts of people using LaTeX in NeoVim to take live notes in class, which I find impressive. I've written some LaTeX myself, but not usually for knowledge management.
Is any of that something you'd be interested in?
