@jeremy I didn't reply to your call because I don't do that stuff, but about 20 years ago, I participated in a workshop at Idaho State University focused on virtualization of archaeology (AR, VR, mapping, artifacts, etc) and the information security aspects associated with that. If this is remotely interesting or relevant to your research, the person to contact would be Dr. Corey Schou, who is retired but findable on linkedin.
