I have an idea, please tell me if it is good or bad. I’ve been offered a second hand bike like the one pictured below, and *may* be able to get a loan to pay it off. Do people think (particularly interested in your reply if you own a business) that I could have a few local businesses pay a one-off or per-[insert period of time here] fee for advertising space on the side of the cargo area to help me afford to pay off said loan? I’ve heard some businesses pay for people to do this to their car so why not a bike? Please boost if you like so I can get more feedback on this idea. Edit to add: if you have a business in #Wellington or #LowerHutt and you’re interested in doing this with me, please let me know!

  • Due to the ECONOMIC SITUATION now is the best time to get one of these but also a time when a lot of businesses are cutting back on expenses. Would you be GST registered for this escapade? What size of “advert” and for how long would they be displayed? @SimonCHulse

@SimonCHulse Our opinion here in the Fedi doesn't count. The only people who matter here are your potential customers. "Get out of the building" and start talking to them.

@SimonCHulse I'd check how easy to maneuver it is.

@SimonCHulse , as for advertising, it's likely more visible/eye-catching on a cargo bike than a car. It's a great idea imho, go for it.

@SimonCHulse Given the way people drive around here, please don't accept sponsored branding from Target
