Why is it that it’s only on here that people are talking openly about how bad most LLM output is? People might joke about its ‘quirks’ and hallucinations, but otherwise it seems to be universally accepted that AI is Very Important. At the consumer level it’s making products worse. Google search is worse (and that was a high bar. It had already been pretty thoroughly bastardised). Autocorrect is worse. All the small interactions we have with tech are worse and no one is talking about it.
