@servus Would say it depends more on what the main focus of the content should be. If it's mostly on pictures than use Pixelfed. Else Mastodon (or another microblogging software like Sharkey) as those can more easily mix different types.
For short form videos can that organisation also look at @loops.

@gelbphoenix @servus Yeah, I'd say go with Mastodon, unless you have the need of one of the more specialised platforms - it's by far the biggest platform in the Fediverse, and as mentioned, handles content from the other platforms better. e.g. I can follow Lemmy from Mastodon, but not the other way around.
