"All models are wrong, but some are useful" is a quote attributed to George Box, a statistician. We can take this as "models do not have to be perfect to do their job". This conversation https://theconversation.com/5-forecasts-early-climate-models-got-right-the-evidence-is-all-around-you-263248 summarizes key contributions of climate models. The climate system is complex -- partly owing to powerful feedbacks such as those from sea-ice (pictured below), but early models already got enough physics to deal with the large-scale change invoked by Greenhouse Gas emissions.
The science has been and is clear. Decarbonization is key to stabilizing the 🌍 climate in the future.
