@Li@tech.lgbt Yeah, like libraries are proof you can just offer things for free, including knowledge and creative works and get this, they keep being made and more people are more literate and knowledgeable. It's almost like putting everything behind a paywall just makes life worse for everyone.
It is a shame how unidealistic or jaded people's goals seem to be, like why are long term or theoretical end points not idealistic more often? Sure short term small step goals make sense but not your end goal surely

@SphereSystem2@meow.lgbt it also makes an obvious thing everyone misses about communal stuff -- you can still seek out to get your own thing of something if you use it enough to warrant it! for example a communal book ownership is nice, but sometimes you still want to have the book yourself, especially if you read it alot, but having it communally is still available anyway- if you need it occasionally, it makes sense, if you need it more often, then it also makes sense to get your own, but instead we just go crazy overproducing and using way mroe resources to make one for everyone and try focus everyone on being an individual thing that your all going to have, its ugh
