Of course, they don't operate every day of the year and they don't always produce the same amount throughout the year, but I extrapolated that they produced somewhere around 20-30 million pounds of patties every year. This is just one chain, that doesn't even have restaurants in every state. I also know that cattle are the most environmentally expensive livestock by far. It's not even close, they require more land, water and food than anything else.

    So if there's ONE THING you can do to make an outsized impact on improving the environment, it's to cut down on beef. Reduce your consumption of beef, or cut it out of your diet entirely. You could replace the beef in your diet with chicken, pork or literally anything else and it would still not come close to as damaging as beef is to the environment. Food for thought... pun intended.
