I've been thinking about #permaculture for a long time now. Not doing anything about it, just thinking.
Well, for once it came to my brain at what seems like an appropriate time in the early spring. I'd like to take steps to get rid of the last remnants of my manicured front and back yard and grow some stuff that is more native to Ottawa. Maybe even grow stuff that would produce food as well and help pollinators.
Since this is an Ottawa-specific server, I'm wondering if the locals have any suggestions on monographs, websites, or other information on finding stuff that would grow especially well in our local environment?

@antonio106 I’m not in your area, but I’m envious of your native seed library. They might be a place to start. https://wildflowerseedlibrary.ca/

@antonio106 Ottawa wildflower seed library is a good place to start https://wildflowerseedlibrary.ca/ They have a dedicated team of folks who collect and distribute (for free) seeds of native plants.
