@OctaviaConAmore the more languages you know the more you find nuance and meaning being portrayed outside literal words. Japanese is contextual in a lot of stuff (with that humor of double meaning), italians use gestures a lot giving a whole other meaning to what they say, in spanish we used to do a lot of physical contact before european culture started to come in, which helped to asses complicity on what is being said (some old people still do It a lot)

@OctaviaConAmore and it's not like you have to be from USA to be like that. You can be heavily influenced (me, online 24/7) or just an autistic people who has trouble without literal meaning. Tbh I only learnt to be more fluent in social communications throught irl exposure, and the difference is brutal. People don't know a lot of complex words, aren't into academics, speak only 1 language and don't mix them to have a more correct word to express it... You have to find those little things.
