words have mattered for longer than the US has existed :frog_think: also, have you looked at my profile? I'm not some USian who hasn't been outside their hometown, I'm writing this as someone who wasn't even born in the US :bear_shrug:

@OctaviaConAmore oh yeah as I said the jewish tradition was very into names and words and such and that's old. Thing is, in the past century, due to USA's influence the importance of literal word by word above all other parts of communication has been popularized. It's also something that relates to all that race stuff they have going on there, which is a huge mess by itself, but those guys are obsessed with banning words and people all over the place.
