(let alone systematic non-compliance with DMA, DSA, Article 102, GDPR, etc etc).
But on the EU side, things are not much better. The pure industry side of the “Eurostack” initiative (see their trademark dispute: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EuroStack) advocates for Schwarz Digits to become the winner of a sovereignty measurement exercise by the European Commission: https://eurostack.eu/blog/measuring-european-cloud-sovereignty/ Schwarz Digits is a company that is happy with a subordinated role to Google (their collab: https://schwarz-digits.de/en/presse/archive/2024/companies-of-schwarz-group-and-google-to-sign-partnership-to-jointly-deliver-sovereign-secure-workplace-productivity-solutions-for-germany-and-europe)

and builds the European military-industrial complex (see https://schwarz-digits.de/en/presse/archive/2026/strategic-partnership-between-uvision-europe-and-schwarz-digits). I am currently being asked which of these “we” should support. The answer is none of them. We can talk about “lesser evils” but the difference is so small that it barely matters. Instead we should opt for more decidedly different approaches. I will write up something more constructive over the next weeks...but in the meantime, remember, opposition is just fine. 4/4
