@eRileyKc There is a lot of overlap between the EU and the Schengen Area, but a few differences. Ireland and Cyprus are in the EU but aren't part of the Schengen Area. A few other countries are not (yet?) part of the EU but are part of the Schengen Area: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland. I hope that I'm giving you accurate information. I'm a USian who doesn't travel, so I have no firsthand knowledge of any of this. All I know is what I've read.

    @Lkdc @eRileyKc Though Schengen is one of these EU constructions, but like the Euro, there’s some idiotic variable geometry. At least we got rid of these idiots from the UK.
