@Lkdc I know of it because my American kid did a semester in Berlin and there was an issue with counting how many consecutive days in various countries were permitted on his visa Also, I have multiple friends seeking residential status outside the US, and there was excitement over Gibraltar maybe becoming (partially?) part of Schengen back in August
