Our society has basically taught generations of men that wanting literally anything in life is selfish and evil, whether it's love, a family, comfort, friends, anything. "but I don't deserve it", well everyone that has ever lived except Christ deserves eternal damnation and endless torment, yet billions have received many blessings that they do not deserve. I would also like to point out that society doesn't really teach women this way of thinking, in fact a lot of women get the daddy's little princess routine instead.
