@toroidalcore I have had to "force shutdown" my laptop a few times due to hard freezes thanks to unpleasant issues with multiple monitors and I'm fearful maybe this is the cause?

@keirFox @toroidalcore What filesystem are you using? I've got btrfs on my server and I had to force restart it and a few of the files I was working on ended up empty or full of nuls

@keirFox That's possible, you could try running fsck. It might be easiest to boot into recovery mode to do that. Also, are you just holding the power button to shut off? If you have to do it again try using the SysRq commands if you weren't already.l
