@sol_hsa @TomF @dysfun Mine was a London/San Francisco flight where unfortunately a passenger suffered a heart attack as we approached Canada. We wound up diverting to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CFB_Goose_Bay after dumping a _lot_ of fuel. Due to regulations on how long pilots can fly in one stint, we were told we'd likely be overnighting there, on military camp beds no less. Happily it turned out a couple of other pilots were on board (repositioning), and could take over, so it was a six hour delay in the end.

  • @sol_hsa @TomF @dysfun I should say we were later informed the passenger had survived and was doing as well as could be expected. I had a window seat just behind the wing. It was quite cool if a bit nerve-wracking seeing all the fuel being dumped out. It just evaporated into the air pretty quickly.
