@amoroso @hist_HT @clausatz I went to a talk recently which discussed “Pre-Digital Hypertext” and highlighted edge notched cards, which were used into the 1970’s, and the hypothetical memex machine.

In our Human Factors in #Hypertext Workshop @HUMAN, which took place at the @ACM #Hypertext Conference @ht in 2022, Sean Haas provided a keynote on this exact topic entitled “Doug Engelbart, Edge Notched Cards, and Early Links”.
