@hipsterelectron @hazelnot my network teacher in the late 00's was also involved in providing internet to people not reached by local major ISP. The usual recipe was directional wifi over a few kilometers then standard wifi to the reception point. They also taught me about sneaker network (put data on offline storage, walk to other computer). I could see 👟net used for "the computers I can walk to, like the local library and a few restaurant". Maybe only the library will use 😺net to get more book
