@FinalGirl honestly at this point I don't think it's a matter of understanding for most of them, I think they understand it perfectly and are doing the thing white people do to maintain their racial innocence, they pretend not to understand so they can pretend like they're not implicated or actively participating in the oppression of it all.

@so_treu @FinalGirl Part of the white condition is "knowing" you're the good one. So when they know they're not (and from time to time they realize) accepting this would scatter their whole sense of identity so they "have to" double down on it in order to preserve their "inner peace"
