@RosaCtrl I was indeed thinking of C++ while writing all this. 😁 Now to be fair, most Perl scripts fall into 2 categories: write-once, it-will-never-be-used-in-production-oh-my-god-what-have-I-done, and I-ve-been-burnt-too-many-times-I-ll-write-it-correctly-and-use-strict. 😬
