@RosaCtrl But honestly, the borrowing mechanism in Rust can become far more complicated to grasp when combined with the lifetime mechanism than most of what I've seen in Perl. Perl is weakly and dynamically typed. It is a product of its time. But it is still a great language imo as long as you use the right pragmas to keep yourself honest. 2/2

    @jenesuispasgoth yeah, so syntax is one thing, but that’s why I mentioned APL. Having to learn a language is not the problem. However now I lean more towards thinking of languages as good because you break the rules and everything is still fine. But if you need certain discipline to use it, I would say it’s bad
