@secretsloth Thank you for sharing this, I love that playful way. In our cultural heritage center, I had a workshop for 9 yrs old. In France, they don't learn embroidery at school and we made textile collages mainly with glue. But we also had threads and showed the children easy running and back stitches. It was a surprise: after 2 hours they embroidered their initials or name, and they had never done it before!

    @NatureMC yeah! Kids just do things, I mean, at some point someone had to have figured these things out for the first time. It's fun to think back and remember how I tried to mimic satin stitch and embroidered someone's initials on a reversible pouch in 2nd grade, and my mom just sort of blinked at me because nobody had taught me. It wasn't difficult to figure out though. Kids are pretty canny.
