@christianp How do you deal with allotted time?
I have heard of different trade-offs, where you could add a fixed number of minutes to deal with the added difficulty, but keep scope small enough that the examinees don't get completely worn out.
But I know almost nothing on these "user experience" questions in assessment.

@dginev a large proportion of our students (it's approaching half) are allowed extra time at assessments. Some students split their exams across several sessions, so they can recover in between. For non-invigilated assessments, I always argue against time limits.
