Accountability is far better than age verification. The landmark case against Meta and Google does FAR MORE than forcing age verification ever will. Edit: To limit the scope of interpretation, I'm referring to this: https://www.reuters.com/legal/litigation/jury-reaches-verdict-meta-google-trial-social-media-addiction-2026-03-25/ Algorithms that enable the behavior are more problematic than overarching bans of the use of it for people under a certain age, then requiring people to have a "Digital ID" which can be used against people like protesters.
