This not only adds fluid back into me, which we are trying to take out, but means the session is highly disrupted. Even reading is difficult, although I would prefer to sleep! Three-hour dialysis sessions are also far more taxing on the body, because you are trying to do the work of days' worth of kidney function in a very compact period of time. I have different sets of antibiotics from immunology to try to combat this. Finally, my ongoing bowel issues are proving incredibly problematic. Since January I have had uncontrolled bowels, apparently due to a norovirus infection, and have lost a great deal of weight as a result. I mean a great deal. This ... 🧵4/8
