@ross I'm not sure about where you are, but here in the US, trying to figure any of that out is highly dependent on where you live, work, and plan to live in the future. $2000-3000/month is plenty to live on in many places, but doesn't even scratch the surface of a rent or mortgage payment in other places.

@cgrymala I'm in the UK and it is kinda similar here in terms of cost of living being different in different places.
