@timmy ...did the old priest^H^H^H^H^H^H^H Mac do a firmware update on the iPod between those two attempts? 🤔
Brilliant hack on the backlight, though (pun unintended at first, then intended).

@jima it refused to do the firmware update without being able to phone home, but somehow kicked it out of it's non-recognizable state nonetheless
