If you are doing academic work in AI, but cannot see the technofascist project called "AI" for what it is, how are we to trust your work does not support that project?

@Iris@scholar.social That's not my area, but what is inherently fascist about AI? I understand there are ethical issues with the data that systems are trained on and that AI can be put to use for fascist causes, but I don't understand what about it is inherently fascist.
