@joew @blainsmith I think the best way to put it is that code (at least when complex enough) tells a story and really shows the ideas the author(s) had in mind. It may _appear_ entirely functional on the surface, but there is deeper meaning that gets often overlooked.

@hexaheximal @joew Lines of code alone don't feel creative much like each stroke of the brush on a canvas doesn't, but over time, layer by layer, line by line the end result is more creative than the sum of its parts. I even consider mechanically built things works of art. Cars, motorcycles, the list goes on.
