This thread isn't about me directly. It's about Baylor and the BGCT's treatment of people like me. With that in mind, I'll address some things said in reply to me, and tell part of my story. Hopefully it'll help. I'm like you, just different. Yeah, we all got issues. Some are our fault, others fault, nobody's fault. I lay blame and give credit where it's due. Not all of my mental health issues are due to Christianity. And Christianity hasn't been all 100% bad for me, even the parts about hell. They gave me a pathological fear of even an ounce of dishonesty, but made me a more honest person. Kind of like my ex's psychological manipulation made me a better person. It could have been done in a more healthy way. And I'm finding those healthier ways. But it is what it is. You get what you get. I try to take the good from the bad I've got. Even mental illness isn't all bad! When my bipolar mania kicks in, and I get a rush of inspiration, or a desire to clean my house, I'm using it! But I know the dangers that come with that mania, and the crash that comes afterwards. It's why I take my meds, including HRT. It's why I've been going to therapists and counselors since 2017. Those with your beliefs only made me more of a wreck. When I believed that my transness was a mental illness and a delusion, I entered a full year of the worst depression I have ever experienced. But accepting counselors, including Christians, helped heal my mind.
