@nanorepublica I'm curious how this turns out for you. I'm not sure I like the free form nature for signals, kwargs and metadata, but that's most likely a me thing more than anything. I do like the concept of a centralized hub to track flow.

@CodenameTim I'm sold on the signals so far, but the metadata is something I will definitely come back to. There is a balance to strike between flexibility and control of the logic.
