@aroundthehills@mastodonapp.uk Back in the dim and distant past I used to run meetings with a colleague who was a retired GWR Signalman and later Station Master. Almost every Time I stood up to start (I like to be bang on) he would hold me back and say "It's not late enough to start on time yet!" The logic behind his thinking stems from having to deal with irate passengers who had just missed a train that left 20 seconds early.
