    @phillip I do that all the time, no worries. I just don't like "fear mongering" (even if unintentional) with incorrect details and try to correct it when I see it. And yeah, that article is why I said it's technically not misinformation to say they have access to it, it's just not the case for signal and a few other apps that actually give a crap about privacy. Lots of apps still send notification content through it in plaintext AFAIK, but most of those are "probably benign" compared to signal and other messaging apps. (Like games doing a "promotional push," even if that's just gross from a user's perspective, the content is generally nothing more than a confirmation you have the app installed, which they already know via "who sent the push")
