In case anyone was still wondering whether Amazon disabling older Kindles was really about DRM: They’re discontinuing Kindle for PC now too. (It was the last remaining way to back up a Kindle library.)

@greene Well that sucks…guess it’s time for me to do one last backup/de-DRM cycle since that’s the method I’ve been using…
