I was just going to ask around for tips on updating from Windows 10 to 11 in the most painless way possible, fresh install on a new machine. I'm not anti-MS accounts but don't want more bloat than necessary. This sounds like a great start, and open to other ideas.

@Jage Rufus can bypass a lot of the crap too if you want to make a boot disk and do it that way.

@Jage Use media creation tool to download an iso, and then use Rufus and you can sign in with a local account. This is for modifying Windows after install.
