@gharbeia they have been designed alongside Latin for so long they are IMO completely Latinised by now (the ductus, the modulation, the serifs, etc). In the same way the eastern variation of Arabic digits is completely Arabized and is no longer Indian. If I did a historically accurate design of western variation of Arabic digits, a few of them would be completely undecipherable to contemporary reader (I might as do that as an exercise). They would also follow a completely different design direction.
