My experience of #pigeons is that they don't fly well when eggy, or even when not, and will stand around or go the wrong way when a human does something.
So what you describe seems perfectly normal for the pigeons around here. (-:

@JdeBP@mastodonapp.uk I did wonder if she (?) might be eggy. It looked quite plump but there was a strong wind and it seemed to be puffing up its feathers. It had gone later and there wasn't any sign of a sparrowhawk or cat having taken it, so I think she just fancied a sit down.
