For myself, I'd stick with #archlinux but would try #cosmic or #niri instead of #gnome. 🤓

@amadeus@mstdn.social For alternate DE's I like the vibes of both Budgie & Nebi, but both are too buggy in current states with Wayland to choose over Gnome for me. Plasma is the obvious other choice, but for some reason I've never been into KDE, even if I think it's well developed now.

@amadeus I'm currently using Niri+dms, but for anyone who wants scrollable tiling and keeping a more complete desktop environment GNOME+PaperWM is an option to consider. https://github.com/paperwm/PaperWM

@amadeus I tried cosmic but it's not ready imho. I didn' t try niri but I use sway daily. For my use case wm has a far better user experience.
