@nyhan @aarontay An interesting idea. I wouldn't want to give authors gatekeeper or veto power over how they get cited (since some might not be responsive, or not like how they're cited critically but justifiably). But it could still be interesting to be able to see authors' reactions to how they're cited, whether or not one agrees with those reactions.

@JMarkOckerbloom @nyhan yeah if i can imagine feuds over a way Research is characterised... though I could imagine a opposite perverse incentive, since a lot of cites to papers really shouldn't be there and are "neutral", authors might keep quiet just to keep the cites :)
