This was maybe the best photo of the kinglet. I am not sure I could get this photo with a traditional DSLR. The auto focus is working overtime, along with bird eye detection.
I've found if I set the AF region to small and bird eye detection on, I have a small but reasonable chance of getting a focus lock.

We also saw a pair of red-breasted nuthatches working on a nest in a hole in a concrete lamp post. Not sure how much bigger they are going to make that hole. 😬 Not in this video, but we watched one nuthatch feed the other, which we understand some bird species do as part of their bonding rituals.
