@Arcticulate @thelinuxEXP Valve is the main one trying with 'Proton-aware' EAC and BattlEye, but the real hurdle isn’t the code, it’s trust. Big devs like EA aren't convinced they can maintain 'competitive integrity' on an open kernel where the user has root access.

@unknownuniverse @thelinuxEXP It makes sense. It’s one of very few downsides of having an open-source kernel. Maybe even the only real downside. Well, ultimately it’s up to those big commercial entities to change their minds.
