With that data it was expected that investors would all want to get in. Ended up having to do PR showing the CEO with boxing gloves showing aggression, and other nonsense to counteract the silliness. So raised the next round pretty well, but not to the level expected. It’s done multiple rounds since. This year the EU opened up a single investment market and startups are getting 2.3x times US startup investments. Probably that style company would do much better now… ? Larger pool of investors.
