@rockario @Canageek I've most seen it on tumblr used for sex-related... fandom discourse?
Like people saying that age gap relationships are always problematic (even if the ages in question are e.g. 30 and 35), or that writing the adult version of a character who was a child or teen in the source material means you're a paedophile.
So I'd suspect that's how the expansion/watering-down happened.

@Anke @Canageek I remember this as well, and it is definitely a logical extension of the origin. Sort of the fuzzy edge of the actual core of sexual purity culture.
