granted this is a conference that only happens every four years and is actually international and not just US+EU, so no one's careers are depending on it and a boycott wouldn't predominantly negatively affect people already in the US, but

how is registration for mathematics' largest conference held in the Philly Convention Centre, an actual conference hall, 620$ full price and 250$ for students but PLDI is 930$ full price and 750$ for students
