Because the country is more divided than ever and Republicans just want you to thunk MAGA has a chokehold everywhere. They dont. Also, Jones is a peripheral not the main cast in Magaland.

It’s a state court civil hearing, so Trump can’t pardon it. The president controls the federal government, not the state courts. Jones lost because he told the entire country that parents were lying about their kids being shot. The kids who were shot on national television and whose bodies were registered by the coroner and buried. It is in fact very hard to win a defamation law suit, because of our first amendment protections, but literally any surface level investigation at all would’ve easily proven the allegations as factually false. You’re right though, Trump absolutely would absolve it if he could.

Jones was always just an independent grifter. Its not like he was in Trump’s inner circle. Also Jones lost the case over a year ago. I think the verdict came out under the Biden regime.

Jones has used up all his capital and his buddies are too busy dodging their own lawsuits/criminal charges is how it happened.

Let us not forget that the lawyer for Alex Jones sent a full copy of all his text messages for the past two years to the opposing counsel and did not claw them back or make any attempt or give any notice until the window passed. Meaning the opposing counsel got to sit there and call him out on lying with his own words in his own private texts. p.s. Sorry you can’t read whole source without a work around.

Let’s just say he made the grave mistake of disrespecting dead children, and that pissed off too many people, prompting a class action. Let’s also not forget the shitshow that is the court proceeding, where his lawyer ‘accidentally’ leaked his text, and he went with a no-show. Last but not least, he’s never in Trump’s circle. He acts like he is, but those people probably don’t even know he exists.

So Jones actually defaulted on the trial. This means he was found guilty be default due to not complying with the court: 'repeated failure to abide by court rulings and to turn over certain evidence to the Sandy Hook families'. He basically refused to participate until the judge ran out of options. He did this on purpose - possibly because he knew he would lose, he wanted to avoid giving them some horrific evidence, because he could spin that as a 'set-up' to his audience, because he was advised to take it and turn it on appeal, etc Everything that happened in the 'trial', including the text messages etc, were in the damages portion. He had already been found essentially guilty of the allegations, and the jury's only task was determining how much he had to pay Bear in mind it was a civil and not a criminal trial - these defaults can't happen in a criminal trial, where the defendent has no say in how things move ahead
