@tante @posiputt this requires all participants to either self-host or have access to a public compatible server tho, which... complicates things. Add signal level encryption to the mix and you're in a world of pain (again, experience based on 2019, but from what I've read in the last months XMPP impls are in general pretty fossilized. Maybe getting second wind now tho?)
